We are a mission-driven blog.

Etymologically “podium” implies with, as it has origins that tie it to orchestral settings, conducting and leading, as well as a structural ancestry, as in a base or footing.  Conversely, a “pulpit” draws more aggressive connotations, implying at more than with, establishing hierarchy rather than community. We are with you, not at you. We are basic, not above.

We are flawed. We have Masters degrees, but we are not masters.
